Building Webforms

ProcessMaker has an integrated webforms builder including in its BPM Suite which allows business analysts to design custom web fWebformsorms for all an organization’s processes.  The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy for business users to add just about any type of field including text boxes, check boxes, drop downs, grids, date pickers, file upload fields, and even PKI certified digital signature fields (together with an add-on product).

Most users think about business processes in terms of webforms so the webform builder is a key element to business process success.  Our webforms builder even includes a conditional show-hide fields’ editor so that non-technical users can build electronic forms which dynamically change based on the way users fill out the webforms.   Technical users can enhance webforms with custom CSS or javascript for greater control over form appearance and behavior.

ProcessMaker webforms are deeply integrated into the BPM Suite and can be filled manually or from information that comes from other systems such as ERP, CRM, and other systems. Using the ProcessMaker Web Services API, users can easily integrate with these other systems.

ProcessMaker Workflow Designer

Workflow Design

The ProcessMaker workflow designer is the key element to ProcessMaker and where all process automation begins.  For this reason, the workflow designer in ProcessMaker was designed to be simple yet powerful.  It features a point and click interface meaning you can have your process mapped within minutes.  Tasks can be arranged or reordered easily and routing rules and business logic applied  with drag and drop simplicity.

Business Process Modeling

When designing a business process in ProcessMaker, the main principle is to map your business process out first, then apply the business logic and routing rules before managing the user input.  ProcessMaker’s workflow designer facilitates just that.  Simply right click on the process map, select “new task” from the sub menu and arrange as required.  Applying routing rules and business logic is just as simple, thanks to the routing rule toolbar at the top of screen.  Administrators simply select which routing rule to apply to a task, then drag and drop said routing rule onto the task to put it in place.  It really is that simple!

Business analysts and subject matter experts can easily create workflow maps thanks to our 100% web based, drag-and-drop process designer.  Business users will immediately feel comfortable in the familiar process design environment where they can quickly design business processes and clearly communicate the nature of these business processes to the other process stakeholders.  Building a clear process map is the first step toward automating the business process.  Version control, debugging, properties boxes and other features make this process designer highly functional.
